The Marine Breeding Initiative Workshop
MBI Workshop 2020
It is with heavy fins that we regret to inform you that the 2020 MBI Workshop will be postponed until 2021.
We have been monitoring the COVID-19 situation closely over the past weeks and even with the best-case scenarios, we don’t feel it would be prudent to continue as planned. The wellbeing of everyone involved is our utmost priority.
If you have already purchased tickets for this year you can either request a full refund or use your tickets for next year. We will begin issuing refunds on May 1. At this time, we are planning to have the 2021 MBI Workshop in Minneapolis but this is subject to change.
We hope you understand our decision and will be able to join us next year.
In the meantime, stay safe and healthy, and keep breeding!
The MBI Council
We would like to thank our sponsors, speakers, attendees, and everyone involved in making the 2019 MBI Workshop a success! Have a look at the photos below!
The Marine Breeding Initiative was created as an online tool to encourage marine aquaria hobbyists to get involved in the captive breeding of marine organisms. The MBI was designed with the help of leading experts in the breeding of marine ornamentals realm to be a standardized database and award system that can be both fun and freely accessed by everyone. Open-source sharing of information is vital to the MBI’s core principals.
The MBI is a division of a tax-exempt 501(c)3 organization that relies on public donations and fundraisers to continue to maintain its database and host the MBI Workshop.
